Client-generating wheels πŸ›ž

"30 clients paying you $300 per month equals $108,000 per year"

It's easy to make a living as a fitness coach right?

Er, right...?

Those numbers above are referring to online coaching, but it's a pretty similar formular for group fitness too, isn't it:

50 bootcamp clients paying you $200 per month is $120,000 per year.

So if it's so easy, why are so many fitness coaches still struggling to make any money?

Because, whether you do online coaching, bootcamps, semi-private or something else, the numbers only work IF you have enough clients.

If your number of clients is down the whole thing falls over. You'll be working just as hard but have very little to show for it at the end of the month.

So, what do you do?

Well, that's what I want to share with you in today's email and involves something called a FLYWHEEL. And it's really going to help you out.

The Fitness Coaching Flywheel

Reading time: 3 minutes | Topic: Fitness Business

The Warm Up

What would you like to earn from your fitness gig?

How many clients will it take to get there? How will those clients find you?

The Main Drill

From todays email I just want you to remember one thing:

ABC 123

Yes, it really is as easy as to understand this proven concept.

A = Attract - to attract new customers focus on just 1 platform and one person at at time
B = Bundle - have 2 'bundles' people can choose from when they join
C = Coach & Commit - turn new clients into lifelong clients with a choice of 3 ways they can keep working with you

But what is a flywheel?

A flywheel is just a silly business term for a system that feeds back into itself.

Meaning it helps your business build momentum with less and less effort.

Here's the flywheel of ABC 123:

A system like this helps strip away all of the distractions of running a business these days. It keeps things simple. It's easy to remember. It helps you focus.

If it doesn't fit into the flywheel then it's probably not worth your time.

When you get this working, it's the best. You can go through periods of spinning the wheel hard and periods where you just let it tick along by itself.

Say goodbye to burn out and hello to a really good flywheel.

The Finisher

Have a look at your fitness coaching business.

Are you operating a flywheel that keeps building momentum?

Or does it feel like you're constantly putting in effort and not getting much in return?

Here's what I'm thinking...

I know that while the concept is simple, getting something like this set up for yourself can be tricky. So I'm creating some training, particular around the Attract and Bundle parts that I want to run before the end of the year so you're all set for New Years.

If you'd like to join in on this trainer, simply shoot me an email reply saying something like 'I'd love to join in on the training'

I loved using the 1,2,3 warm up game. I’ve done it many times with my seniors classes, but never thought about doing it with my not so seniors! We had such a laugh - definitely going to be using this more.

Yesterday morning we wrapped up the final class of Group Flow, my latest training on growing your business with fitness cohorts. A few of the students have been facing the same problem: The have many amazing ideas for fitness cohorts, but they're having trouble choosing which one to create first. As we know, simply choosing to do everything at once is a mistake. It almost always ends with incomplete and subpar projects. It's like going to a restaurant, ordering every single dish on the menu,...

If you've been working in the fitness industry for a while, you've probably had a few different jobs in that time. In my youth I worked the reception desk at a gym where I would plan workouts and my my future bootcamp on paper between people checking in. I find there is always a natural life cycle to these things. Think of all the fitness fads that soar to unbelievable popularity only to take a back seat to the next big thing. And so it might be that you find yourself right now at the end of...

Hey Reader, Today I'm grateful for... pushy sales people and lock-in gym contracts. While I wouldn't normally say I'm a fan of either, with Thanksgiving coming up I've been thinking about what I'm grateful for and the moment that involved those 2 things is definitely up there. Today I want to share with you how 2 things that we normally shy away from in the fitness industry (sales and lock-in contracts) changed the trajectory of my life forever. (I've also got a Thanksgiving-themed workout...
